I can't wait to be out of here. I hate living in this house. I hate Kannapolis. I HATE IT.

When my sister and I fight, she treats me like I'm her kid or something. She'll throw things up in my face about how I'm not paying rent. WHENNN technically, this is my mom's house (well, she was renting) and my sister got out of the Navy all unexpectedly and things changed. So, we all had to adjust our lives to my sister coming home and making room for her and HER THREE kids in the house. My parents moved into another house and my sister moved in with me. I quit my job to help HER babysit HER kids while she got all her paperwork together for school and whatnot. Then when summer ended, I got a job and we all started school. I still don't make enough to afford bills and now that I'm going away to college next year, I DEFINITELY don't have money to give.

Sometimes I wish I had the cash to live out on my own until next August, but I don't. :(

I don't want to go bother my parents and live with them again, because they just got to live out on their own. I feel like I have nowhere to go, even though I know I do.

I don't know. This fight was pretty rough. I'm just ready to leave.

I just want to go away to college and never come back. Well, except for holidays and weekends. Haha.

I and Love and You [Oct. 7th, 2009|09:30 pm]

I hate when guys talk to me about their love life and relationship problems. I have only had ONE relationship and it only lasted three months... so technically, I've never been in a relationship. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS OR LOVE. And that actually saddens me. Haha.

Stressed out... [Oct. 5th, 2009|04:55 pm]

I received some AWESOME information regarding a possible scholarship to Tusculum College in Tennessee the other day... And ever since I've been stressing about college. Where to apply, what I need to get in order to send in my applications, and then the big one... if I'll even get accepted. I'm so worried that I won't get into the college that I've been wanting to go to since like, forever. It's where I belong, where I am supposed to be.

I just know that if I don't get accepted in WWC or any of the other colleges that I've been interested in, that I'll be upset, but I'll get over it.

Well, I'm going to put all of this in God's hands and let His will be done. :D

I am a breathing time machine [Aug. 17th, 2009|12:02 am]

I haven't updated in a few days. I've been busy these past few days... and also too lazy to type a novel about what's been going on in my life.

Work is going great. Sometimes I want to slap people, but that's life and you can't let people get to you or you'll never be content. My manager, I'm sure, dislikes everyone she works with. I guess I can't blame her. We're all a bunch of youngins. I do honestly work my hardest when I'm at work, though. I always try to go above and beyond not only to do my job, but also to make the time go by faster. If donuts need to be made, I'm on it. The dishes washed? I'm in the back getting soaking wet from the beast of a water sprayer that shoots out water so fast, it gets everywhere. The mornings are rough, though. There's always a line of people going out the door to get coffee, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches. The other day, I was off work, but the new schedule had been posted, so I went to work to see what I worked the next day. My manager told me 7am-1pm. I have never worked those hours before. I usually work 7am-12pm, or 8am-12pm, never 7am-1pm. But I came in at 7am the next day as told only to find that my schedule was 8am-12pm. I don't know if my manager told me those incorrect hours because she didn't remember my name (which could be true because I just started working, and she just started being the manager), or because she was being a butt. I guess it's not THAT big of a deal because I got paid for the extra hour that I was there, of course.

But enough about work. I start my online class tomorrow and then on Tuesday, I start my classes at school. I'm pretty stoked about this year's schedule, but I dread the work to come. I think I will make it through, now that I have a part-time job rather than full-time. I am hoping to apply to Warren Wilson this fall! I really hope and PRAY that I get accepted because it's where I want to be... for now at least. :)

I'm watching this cheesy Lifetime movie called Tempted. LOL. ANYWAYS. The Avett Brother's show was amazing on Saturday. I couldn't have asked for anything more, except for them to sing Laundry Room. Haha.

The trip to Tennessee was great! My family and I stayed at the this "Old South" inn that was pretty much devoted to Gone With The Wind. I went swimming for the first time in awhile and FINALLY got the black bear salt and pepper shakers that I've been wanting. I wasn't able to go to Dollywood because it was storming, but other than that, I had a great time. I didn't really want to leave, but on the way home we stopped and got some awesome pictures of the mountains and waterfalls. For my next trip, I think I want to go to Chimney Rock. :)

I started my new job last Thursday at the Great Wolf Lodge, and so far I really like it. I work at the Dunkin' Donuts located inside of the Lodge. My first day, a woman by the name of Sherrie took me around to the downstairs cafe area and introduced me to the Pizza Hut and Bear Paw workers. When she was over at the Pizza Hut cafe, she told a guy that she wanted a pepperoni with sausage and then asked me what I wanted. I told her cheese, but didn't really know what she was doing. Turns out, she was getting the hook up -- free food. Haha. I freaking loved it. At Dunkin' when it's dead, the other employees and myself grab some donuts or a flatbread sandwich. I even caught my manager snagging a donut, too. He was in the back of the shop washing dishes. I noticed that he was chompin' down on something. When he turned to look at me, he had some custard on his chin. HAHA. I totally didn't tell him.

I LOVE MY MOCHA LATTES. I load them down with extra mocha and I freaking loooove them.

In other news, I'm going to see The Avett Brothers this Saturday and then on Sunday, I'm going to TENNEESSEE with my folks. I'm thoroughly excited.

In other other news, my friend Brooks just came back from Peru the other day. He actually showed up at my workplace today to get himself a coffee. I was getting off work when he came in. We walked out to our cars together and he gave me my birthday gift. I told him NOT to get me anything because I could only afford to get him a $5.00 weird toy from Hot Topic. I was not working when it was his birthday in July, so I was low on cash. And his card was like, $3.00. But I seriously told him not to get me anything because I would feel horrible. And I really meant it. Not like, "Oh, you don't have to get me anything," but secretly wishing they would. No, it wasn't like that at all. But he got me some cool finger puppets -- a grandma, grandpa, mother, and daughter. LOL. He also got me a scarf, sweater, gloves, and a small change purse with awesome designs because the one I normally take with me to the club is broke. I really appreciated the gifts that he got me considering I was too poor to afford to get him anything nice. When I'm in TN next week, I plan on getting him something really awesome to make up for it!

My birthday went well last Saturday. I didn't really have a big gathering because the people I invited didn't show up. I guess everyone assumed that I wasn't celebrating my birthday ON my birthday. I don't know. I didn't let it get me down, because my sister took me to Dave and Busters, and her friend Kim (I've known Kim since I was born, literally) and her boyfriend, Adrian showed up. My friend Bobby came as well. Adrian asked the waiter if we could get the "hook-up" on some game cards, but the waiter just told us of the regular prices on the cards. When he came back from loading Adrian's card with points, he gave me one with 100 points on it, but only to be used on games that didn't shoot out tickets. I was so grateful! I only like the racing games and air hockey anyways. Haha. All in all, I had a great birthday and I plan on celebrating my second birthday this week with Bobby and my other friends if they decide to show up. Haha.

I started my new job today and I get to wear the coolest shirt everrr. It's a khaki color with cherries, waterfalls, cowboy boots, and signs on it. It looks soooo dorky. The shirt looks like something my grandpa would wear, but I think it's absolutely adorable. At orientation, I met some pretty awesome people. One girl in particular was named Maegan. She goes to Chapel Hill and we had a lot of common interests. I didn't expect to make new friends on the first day. I'm usually really shy around new people, but I'm starting to get out of that. I need to if I want to go to a school two hours from where I live next year.

I start my normal schedule tomorrow and I'll be training in Dunkin' Donuts. I'm so excittteed. I have to work on my birthday, but I honestly do not mind. I don't really have plans. I think my sister wants to take me out later that night and my parents watch the kids. I do want to hang with my friends, too. So, hopefully we can all meet up and hang out. I just don't know what to actually DO that night. Clubbing would be too expensive for Kerri and myself, so that's out. Maybe next Friday my friends and I can go to the club.

When I got home today from work, my sister had a card laid out for me on my bed. I opened the card and it was congratulating me on my new job. HAHA. My sister is such a dork.

I cannot wait for The Avett Brothers show and Tennessee. Only two more weeeeks!

I got a new job, but I'm not able to really celebrate it because my friend's mom interviewed me two weeks ago and I don't want her to know that I got another job. So, after I actually start the job and get everything situated with my school schedule and work schedule, I'm going to contact my friend's mom and let her know that I was offered another job. Be professional, you know.

In other news, I went to Bele Chere Festival in Asheville this weekend. WOW. That pretty much sums up the trip. We had a little car trouble on the way to Asheville, but it was nothing too serious. Right when we arrived in town, we went straight to the festival. It was so amazing. There were so many people and different types of people at that. It's different from where I live. Charlotte is NOTHING compared to Asheville. Asheville is known for being a "mini San Fran" because of the acceptance of gays and lesbians. I love how the people in the city are open-minded. My friends Jesse, Tom, and I went to Rosetta's Kitchen which is one of the vegetarian restaurants located in downtown. They have some amazing food. After we ate, we were trying to find the correct stage, as there three different ones, that hosted the Big Fat Booty Band. We asked someone where the correct stage was, and we ended up becoming friends with them. One girl was trashed and REALLY friendly. Like, she was inviting us to her house and she kept touching my hand. Haha. After we jammed out at the show, we met up with Andrew (who is Jesse's brother) and his girlfriend, Sarah, whom I am now friends with, too. We went to the Double Decker Coffee shop and had some drinks. The Double Decker is actually a double decker bus like those in England and it was converted into a coffee shop. On the top level, they have tables and chairs. On the tabletops, you can draw sweet pictures with chalk. PPREETTYY DANK.

After the festival, my friends and I went to see a movie called Food, Inc. OMGG. Good documentary that didn't push vegetarianism on you, but rather changed your outlook on shopping at Wal-Mart and other big-named grocery stores.

We stayed the night at Jesse's house in Fairview, NC. His house is up on a mountain and from the porch, you have the greatest view of the mountains surrounding his house. I had the best sleep that night, no lie. I think it was because I was so tired from walking around in the hot sun all day. Haha. The next morning, Andrew made us breakfast which was delicious. We sat around and talked and listened to music until Jesse, Tom, and I were about to head out to meet up with some more of Jesse's friends.

We got loaded up and got in the car. THE CAR WOULD NOT START. AT ALLLL. The battery was dead. So for about five hours, we were outside trying to charge up the battery which failed miserably. The neighbors at the bottom of the mountain came to be of some assistance, but it did not help unfortunately. I ended up swinging on the porch swing and taking in the beauty of the mountains around me while the "men" tried to fix the car. Haha. Andrew ended up hanging out with me for most of the day. He sat on the porch and we talked about EVERYTHING. God, music, books, movies, serial killers... you name it. I'm sure he was flirting with me. Actually, I know he was flirting with me. Haha. He would punch me in the arm and call me shorty. Yeahh, too bad he has a girlfriend. BAHAAA. He said that he was going to find me on Facebook and add me. Jesse had noticed our absence when we were on the porch and said, "You guys were in deep conversation." I think Jesse has been trying to set me up with Tom, who is cool I suppose but I don't think I'm interested and plus he's twenty-six. My age limit is twenty-five. Tom is too mature for me. I like those annoying stupid boys that I can crack jokes around. Tom is definItely NOT that guy.

I had a great time, and I am planning on going back next year and bringing my FRANS.

I went to my interview at Holiday Inn Express and I think it went very well. It was very short, though. The manager, who is also my friend's mom, just asked me about school, days that I would be available, hours, and what I find rewarding in customer service. I feel that I answered all of her questions with professionalism and with character. She told me that the position would be available for a front desk attendant in August. Which would actually work out for me because I have a lot of things going on in the next few weeks.

Shortly after my interview, Great Wolf Lodge called and asked me some questions (as a first interview) which totally caught me off guard. I'm pretty sure I answered the questions with the MOST stupidest (haha) answers ever. But they are going to submit my first interview questions to another manager and I may possibly get a call back for a second one.

WOOOO-HOOOO. So, hopefully I should have a job before or around the time school starts. I am ver' excite.

I'm going to be in the Avett Brothers video live shoot next Wednesday! I feel that I must scream this at the top of my lungs because I am soooooo excited. Though it's going to be filmed as a show, I still get to be present!

SOOOOO much is going on and I am having a great summer!
